HAND-ETCHED BOTTLES OF CELEBRATORY CHAMPAGNES

These unique bottles have been hand-engraved as objets d'art. Artists David Sugar and Carol Iselin have worked together since 1980 in New York City under the studio name of Inner Light Crystal. Their crystal and glass engravings are in numerous museum collections around the world including Musée d'Art Décoratif, The Smithsonian and in the United Nations permanent collection.

The Lady and the Dragon

Both the Krug and the Dom Pérignon are engraved with this design; a mythological metaphor for Beauty and the Beast. The elegant woman with flowing hair and a sheer gown is holding a glass upward toasting with bubbles emerging from the glass. The muscular dragon with minutely etched scales and claws creates contrast with the elegant female form.
The Orchid design, "A toast to love"
This design has been created by the artists to celebrate weddings and anniversaries.

"Excellent magnums in 1998. A year later, in bottles, an astonishing pale-green gold; deliciously smoky nose; crisp, good length. Very good indeed but will benefit from more bottle age. Last tasted at Hal Lewis's 'Mr. Gourmet' dinner at the River Terrace, Mud Island, Memphis, September 1999 ***(*) Probably at best 2005-2015." MB, Vintage Wine
