"Perhaps the most enjoyable of all the Champagnes tasted at the "century tasting" at Pol Roger in October 1998. The bottle we tasted had just undergone dégorgement and was very elegant and youthful. The entire wine exuded charm and buoyancy. The fruit and the lightly toasted aromas resemble those found in the '47 and the '75, but the butter-toffee aftertaste is even longer."
