"In stark contrast to the power and richness of the of the '90, the '91 is much more elegant and understated in style with finely detailed, moderately mature aromas that are a mix of primary and secondary aromas followed by precise, reserved and quite fine flavors underpinned by outstanding length. There is still solid structure here but it's ripe and beginning to soften and this should be at its peak in the 2005 area. This is really a lovely effort and wonderfully classy." BH, March 9, 1999
