MARK OF TIFFANY & CO., NEW YORK, CIRCA 1907
Comprising a coffee pot, teapot, two-handled sugar bowl, slop bowl and cream jug; in the 1820s style, each oval on pad feet, with a chased band of flowers and scrolls, the hinged covers with chased acanthus borders and eagle finial, the coffee pot and teapot with ivory insulators, engraved on one side with a crest and monogram DHL, each marked under base

Lot Essay

The monogram is that of Dorothy Lee Higginson (1878-1952), a descendant of the Gracie family of New York. In 1907 she married Arthur Delano Weekes, Jr.
