Together with a cutwork paper valentine, inscribed To I.R.K /Forget me not 1829
paper, ink and silk
the silhouettes 4½ x 4 in. framed; the valentine 11 5/8 x 9 5/8 in. framed.
The valentine inscribed The bud is a sweet "forget me not"/A little bird, in his bill did bear/Which planted, on a Verdant spot,/It grew and bloom'd and flower'd there,/It was from one, who loved a token,/And it breathed a prayer, that ne'er was spoken,/And thus the bud, that is born to thee, doth breathe a heart-felt prayer of mine,/"O Never, never, let me be, Forgotten by my Valentine"/O'never, let that flowered perish, And may thy heard, this prayer and ye cherish.
