Lot Essay

Christophe Huet (1700-1759) was influenced by Jean-Baptiste Oudry. He specialised in anthropomorphic studies of monkeys and published with Guélard, in 1741-2, a collection of engravings titled Singeries ou différentes actions de la vie humaine représentées par des singes.
