Possibly Japanese, the large bird perched in alert pose on a rocky outcropping, his talons curled tightly around a small ledge, his wings folded across his back over his long tail and molded with numerous overlapping feathers, his breast glazed white, his head turned slightly, the beady eyes picked out in black, the hoods with dark blue heightened in iron spots
