MARK OF THOMAS GILPIN, LONDON, 1745
Shaped circular, on three scroll feet, later engraved with Greek cypher below Greek Royal crown within foliage mantling, marked on reverse
13½ in. (34 cm.) diam.
31 oz. (980 gr.)
The cypher is that of King George I of the Hellenes, Prince of Denmark (1845-1913).
