MARK OF ROBERT GARRARD, LONDON, 1867
Oval, the rim and two scroll handles with rosette and guilloche border, engraved with foliage scrolls and with a lozenge of arms with Russian Royal crown above, marked on back, stamped 'R. & S. GARRARD PANTON ST. LONDON'
29 in. (73.7 cm.) long
The arms are those of Grand Duchess Olga of Russia (1851-1926), Queen Olga of the Hellenes, wife of King George I of the Hellenes, Prince of Denmark (1845-1913).
Provenance
Commissioned to commemorated the marriage of Grand Duchess Olga of Russia (1851-1928) to King George I of the Hellenes, Prince of Denmark (1845-1913), in 1867.
