TBILISI, CIRCA 1830, UNRECORDED MAKER'S MARK
Of traditional form with circular shallow bowl, the back of the long handle engraved with Russian place names, marked on finial
14 1/8 in. (36 cm.)
7 oz. (218 gr.)
The names inscribed on the handle are 'Il'inskoe.' 'Borzhom.' and 'Petergof.' The first was the residence of Grand Duke Sergei and his wife, outside Moscow, Borzhom is a spa near Tbilisi, Georgia and Peterhoff, the Imperial palace outside St. Petersburg.
