A SET OF FOUR DANISH SILVER SAUCEBOATS
MARK OF MICHELSEN, COPENHAGEN, 1883
Each boat shaped and on oval foot, the bodies chased with a frieze of flowers and foliage on matted ground, with reeded rims, husk and gadrooned scroll handles with leaf terminals, each engraved with Greek cypher with Greek Royal crown above, marked under base
Each 7 in. (18 cm.) long
66 oz. (2,100 gr.)
The cypher is that of King George I of the Hellenes, Prince of Denmark (1845-1913) (4)
