A FRENCH SILVER FOUR-PIECE TEA AND COFFEE-SERVICE
MARK OF CHRISTOFLE, PARIS, CIRCA 1900
Each oval, with beaded border and band of scrolling foliage on a matted ground, the teapot and coffee-pot with composite handles, leaf-edged spouts and domed covers with pine-cone finials, comprising; teapot, coffee-pot, milk-jug and sugar-bowl with two pierced handles, each engraved with Greek cypher below Greek Royal crown, marked on base
the coffee-pot 7 in. (18 cm.) high
gross weight 45 oz. (1,400 gr.)
The cypher is that of King George I of the Hellenes, Prince of Denmark (1845-1913). (4)
