Shaped circular, with moulded border, on four hoof feet, the field engraved with Greek Royal Arms, marked underneath

The arms are the Royal arms of Greece.

Lot Essay

King Alexander I was the second son of King Constantine I (1868-1922). King Constantine abdicated in his second son's favour in 1917. King Alexander died tragically only three years later from blood poisoning from a monkey bite which had attacked the King's dog while they were walking in the grounds of Tatoi.
