The rounded rectangular top above a central frieze drawer flanked by two long drawers and diminishing ribboned garlands, each side with a lead-lined bottle drawer and a mahogany slide, on square fluted tapering legs and block feet, the handles later

Lot Essay

A related serpentine sideboard with husk-carved uprights, bowfront central frieze drawer and serpentine fluted frieze was sold by H. J. Joel, Esq., in these Rooms, 17 April 1980, lot 84 (£11,000). Another was sold by the late Frederick Howard Reed, in these Rooms, 16 November 1955, lot 222.
