Lot Essay

This image has been reproduced in several fashion magazines.
The artist's frame, an integral part of this work, features cans and cartons of popular food that had decorated the restaurants and shops he has designed, given credence to his nickname, the Andy Warhol of Marrakesh. The name of the restaurant he designed in Paris, Andy Walou, is thus inspired by his reputation for being a kitsch pop artist. Andy Walou also means ' I have nothing' in the Moroccan dialect.
