Jeremy Cooper, Victorian & Edwardian Furniture; from the Gothic Revival to Art Nouveau, London, 1998, pl. 96 illustrated a similar washstand with stirrup form stretchers, with revealed tenons and chamfered decoration designed by Pugin for Adare Manor near Limerick in 1846.
