DOMINIQUE LAURENT Dominique Laurent is a recently established négociant based in Nuits St. Georges as the following extract from the Wine Advocate reveals "Dominique Laurent is producing some of Burgundy's finest red wines...He has created, in a few short years a négociant firm whose spectacular wines sell out on a pre-arrival basis...before any reviews can be published!" Dominique Laurent began with the 1993 vintage, and purchases grapes from a variety of growers and is a strong advocate of non-interventionist wine making. Wild, natural yeasts are used and the wines are neither fined, nor filtered. Dominique Laurent also uses oak barrels that are specially made for him. The results of this élevage are wines that have incredible purity of fruit, richness and considerable length of flavour. Dominique Laurent produces a range of wines from Bourgogne Passetoutgrains and Bourgogne Rouge to Premier and Grand Cru.
