A Japanese ivory netsuke of an egg-seller, 19th Century
the seated figure carved with a basket filled with his produce, holding eggs up to his eye for inspection, red lacquer signature tablet; and a lacquered heart formed box netsuke, decorated in takamakie with a pumpkin and scrolling vine leaves, lotus flowerheads to the reverse side - 1 7/8in. (4.7cm.) wide max. (2)
