A Nepalese bronze figure of Padmapani, 17th century
standing in tribhanga on a circular lotus base with an inscription, the right hand in varada mudra, the left raised in vitarka mudra, the face with a serene expression, surmounted by a tiara encircling the high chignon, wearing dhoti with foliate scroll decorated hems, upavita, beaded necklace and bracelets, the ornaments set with coloured glass and semi-precious stones -- 9 13/16in. (24.8cm.) high.
