FIRST EDITION, SCARCE of this curious little treatise, a satirical poem in two books on table manners. In the first book, Grobianus is a servant but in the second he is someone's guest. Several chapters are dedicated to drink and the author advises how to avoid gluttony and drunkenness. The work is a well-known poem which was reprinted several times until the 18th century. Adams, Simon BB and BG and Vicaire only list later editions of this work.
