Lot Essay

Between 1970 and 1971 the artist drove an Airstream trailer from Maine to California with his wife and two children, giving lectures and printmaking demonstrations along the way. They visited the Palace of the Governors in Santa Fe, New Mexico, depicted in the illustrated print.
