In the form of an archaic bronze, worked in various thicknesses of gold and silver wire and coloured cloisonné enamel with two shaped panels alternately depicting egrets among irises and other flowers and a peacock among tree peony and maple, bordered by flower heads and scrolling foliage, the pierced domed cover with a chrysanthemum knop finial, silver mounts
