An unusual George III mahogany banker's or partner's kneehole desk
The sloping top surmounted by brass columns with swivel candle sconces and drip pans with rail and finials above, the top fitted with sloping falls enclosing fitted interiors with drawers to either side and overhanging to one side with another hinged slope and lidded slopes to either side with moulded book rest edge, containing eight drawers and two short drawers to either side, about kneeholes, with an enclosed cupboard to one side, with later spandrels, fitted with a slide to the overhanging end, on bracket feet
