Lot Essay

Born in Tirns, The Netherlands, Siep van den Berg lived and worked in Groningen where he was adviced by Hendrik Werkman, member of the Groninger Ploeg. In 1954 he settled in Amsterdam where his work reached a monumental and cool geometrical abstraction in the late 1950's.
