Worked on the front and back in satin stitch with eight large roundels incorporating a large central peony encircled by various flowers including prunus and wisteria blossoms, all above the terrestrial diagram and lishui stripe at the hem, the design repeated at the sleeve ends, all picked out in bright colors of green, lavender, pink, turquoise, yellow, red and purple reserved on a black ground
