The material and the construction probably early 20th century, finely embroidered in couched gold threads and satin stitch with eight contorted five-clawed dragons amidst cloud scrolls, shou characters and the twelve Imperial symbols, all superimposed against a ground of interlocking ruyi flowerheads and reserved on a bright yellow ground above the terrestrial diagram and lishui stripe at the hem
