AFTER THE MODEL BY CHARLES CRESSENT, BY FRANÇOIS LINKE, INDEX NUMBER 795, PARIS, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY
The rectangular gilt-tooled leather-inset top with dentilled surround and shell-shaped clasps to the corner, above a frieze with three drawers to the front and three simulated drawers to the back, each with foliate-cast frame and handle, the sides centred by a Bacchic mask, on tapering legs headed by espagnolettes and with acanthus-wrapped paw sabots, the locks stamped CT LINKE/SERRURERIE/PARIS and numbered 795
