etching with engraving, 1810, Harris's state I ii, an exceptionally rare working proof before letters or numbers (Harris records only one other example), a fine, cleanly-wiped impression, on stout laid paper, with wide margins, the number 12 in pen and ink in the upper right corner, the artist's name and a price (5/-) in pencil in the lower margin, a soft vertical crease in the centre of the sheet, minor soft creasing elsewhere, two tiny indentations in the paper surface, pale scattered foxing, minor defects on the reverse along the upper sheet edge where previously mounted
