A Chinese ivory wrist rest, 19th Century
carved in high relief to the interior with the Eighteen Arhats at various occupations including meditating amongst rockwork, before a lotus flowering river, standing before the gates of gabled pavilions and standing upon its terraces before a mountainous landscape, a mounted scholar with attendant crossing a bridge carved in relief to the reverse side -- 11¾in. (29.9cm.) high; and a large Cantonese ivory bookmark, of long flattened form, the handle carved with figures at leisure amongst foliage and architecture, 19th century -- 18 3/8in. (46.6cm.) high. (2)
