A Chinese lacquered and gilt wooden brushpot, 17th/18th Century
of cylindrical form, the exterior gilt and painted with lotus blossoms growing from a hillside beside a bird perched on bamboo holding a frog in its beak, the reverse with an inscription and marks -- 5 7/16in. (13.9cm.) high.
