A Chinese cloisonne moon flask, bianhu, Jiaqing
the flattened body framed with a ruyi-head band enclosing a shou character above the Endless Knot flanked by swooping birds amidst a spray bearing peaches and lotus blossoms, all reserved on a turquoise ground and terminating in a cloud collar with a mythical bird, the sides enamelled on a black ground with mythical birds above shou roundels framed by tassels above the Endless Knot and lotus blossoms, the tapering cylindrical neck with a lipped rim decorated similarly to the body and applied with dragon handles, supported on an oval foot with bats and shou medallions -- 11 1/8in. (28.2cm.) high.
