A Chinese carved buffalo horn libation cup, 17th/18th century
carved in the form of a lotus leaf with overlapping lappets, the sides with bamboo and blades issuing from a gnarled stem with lotus buds forming an openwork foot and handle, the horn of brownish-honey tone translucent around the rim -- 4 3/16in. (10.6cm.) wide.
