A George III mahogany and brass mounted eight day longcase clock with moon phase and centre seconds
Johnson, Chesham. Dated 1775
The 11½ in. brass dial with rococo spandrels to silvered chapter ring with inner date ring, matted centre, silvered plaque signed JOHNSON CHESHAM FEBRUARY 14 1775 to arch above the moon dial, blued steel hour and minute hands, later brass calendar hand and centre seconds hand now lacking, the four pillars movement with dead beat escapement and strike on bell, case possibly associated to movement and dial; pendulum, two weights, crank key, two case keys
