The hood with fretwork panel, glazed side panels, convex throat mouldings with marquetry to the front, trunk door with reserves of bird and flower marquetry, the sides with line inlays, on later plinth, the 10 in. square brass dial with cherub mask and foliate spandrels to silvered chapter ring with sword hilt half hour markers, matted centre with ringed winding holes, subsidiary silvered seconds ring and date aperture with engraved border, cut and fettled steel hands, the five pillars movement with anchor escapement, outside countwheel, strike on bell, on later seat board; pendulum, two weights, two crank keys, case key
