18TH CENTURY, PROBABLY SOUTH GERMAN
The shield-shaped iron dial decorated with flowers and putti, centred by the Virgin and Child, white painted Roman chapterring with single iron and brass hand above a crowned monogram, the weight-driven movement with square-section iron pillars, verge escapement with front swinging pendulum, the strike on a bell above; four weights.
