A GEORGE III SILVER SWING-HANDLED CAKE BASKET,
MARK OF EMES & BARNARD, LONDON, 1818,
Oblong with gadroon borders & shell & leaf decoration at the rounded corners, on gadroon-edged pedestal foot, with fluted sides, the centre engraved with armorial, 13 in. long (33 cm.), 40.5 oz.

Further details
The arms are for George Houlton of Farley Castle, Somerset & his wife Anne, née Cruickshank of Bath.
Houlton was a Captain in the 43rd Light Infantry & later an Ensign in the Yeomen of the Guard, knighted in 1838 & died 1862.
