Lot Essay

Accompanied by an Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives confirming the date of manufacture of this watch with Breguet numerals as 1937 and its subsequent sale on October 18th of the following year.

According to research, the case of the present watch was manufactured by the famous casemaker Wenger and delivered to Patek Philippe in 1938. Furthermore, to the best of our knowledge, the present watch represents only one of 2 examples of the reference 486 known to the market.
