Accompanied by an Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives confirming the date of manufacture as 1951 and its subsequent sale on December 14th of the same year.

According to our research, the present watch has never before appeared at auction.

Patek Philippe produced the reference 1596 from 1944 until at least 1950. To the best of our knowledge, this watch represents one of only 10 examples known from the market.
