Together four works in one, 8o (178 x 112 mm). (Some cropping by binder, with some headlines shaved.) Contemporary calf, red morocco lettering piece. Provenance: Earls of Macclesfield, Shirburn Castle (bookplates; blind stamp on title; sold Sotheby's London, 10 June 2004, lot 230).

A FINE COLLECTION OF ASTRONOMICAL TRACTS RELATING TO NAVIGATION AND LONGITUDE, following closely on the act of 1714 which offered a reward to whomever could solve the centuries-old problem of finding longitude at sea.
