The tiara was a very important part of the bride's wedding jewellery. A similar example is in the Royal Collection in Rabat which, like here, has a five-pointed star surmounting a crown. Another closely related example with very similar workmanship is in the Musée Dar Belghazi in Salé (Khireddine Mourad, Francis Ramirez and Christian Rolot, Arts et Traditions du Maroc, Courbevoie (Paris), 1998, p. 160).
