The geometric interlocking pieces, with makers mark CE for Cy Enfield, fitted into a leather case with folding leather silver plated board
The king -- 1½in. (4cm.) high; the pawn -- 3/4in. (2cm.) high; the board -- 8¼in. (21cm.) wide

Lot Essay

This abstract set was designed to commemorate the Fischer-Spassky World Championships, 1972, played in Reykjaik. The pawns were designed by Charles Perry and the rest of the set by Cy Enfield, also known as the director of the film Zulu.
