BERHAMPUR, FIRST HALF 19TH CENTURY
The kings with pierced galleries, the queens with feather finials, on foliate carved urn stems, the bishops with pierced mitres, the knights as horses' heads, the rooks as turrets with radiating turrets, one side stained deep red
The king -- 4 5/8in. (11.7cm.) high; the pawn -- 2¼in. (5.7cm.) high
