A PAIR OF BRONZE KNEELING GARUDA, SOUTH INDIA, 19TH CENTURY
On rectangular wooden bases, both figures with bird features and shown on one knee, hands clasped in prayer, wearing a crown and cloth knotted at the waist with the remains of red pigment, one figure with sculpted wings curving forwards - 11 5/8in. (30cm.) high (2)
