The rectangular tile with curved gully to reverse, the white ground containing underpainted black arabesques overlaying and linking large flower heads - 18 X 7 1/4in. (45.7 x 18.4cm.)

This large glazed tile fragment appears to be from a fountain or other water feature to judge from its glazed interior; it may have been produced by potters from Iznik in Damascus or Jerusalem.
