etching and drypoint, 1859, on laid paper, a very fine impression, printing with great clarity and selective tone, the first state (of two), signed in pencil with the butterfly, also signed with the butterfly on the reverse and annotated 'fine proof', with wide margins, the upper margin corner with several repaired tears, some minor discoloration and staining in the margins, otherwise generally in good condition, framed
