SECOND HALF 19TH CENTURY
Inlaid in première partie and contre-partie, each with foliate scrolls and interlaced strapwork, the black marble top above an egg-and-dart border, above a glass-panelled door enclosing an amaranth-veneered interior with a shelf, the sides mounted with rosettes and centred by female masks, the base centred by a bearded Bacchic mask, with remains of paper label to the back of each cabinet, reading 'ARMY & NAVY DEPOSITORY,/LIMITED/NAME.../NO...../DATE....'
