Cal. 79230 nickel-finished lever movement, 29 jewels, the black dial with luminous Arabic numerals, luminous hands, three engine-turned subsidiary dials indicating 30 minutes and 12 hours registers, constant seconds, two apertures for day and date, in large circular water-resistant-type case with downturned lugs, screw back, split seconds chronograph mechanism operated through three round buttons in band, platinum IWC buckle, case, dial and movement signed

Accompanied by IWC Repair Warranty dated 29 March 2003, original fitted presentation box and outer packaging.

The present watch is number 47 of a limited edition of 150 examples of reference 3711 in platinum. According to the Archives of IWC, it was sold in 1996.

Reference 3711 was in production between 1993 and 1995, fitted with a strongly domed sapphire crystal. Due to the difficult production of such curved crystal at the time, it successor, reference 3713, was made with a modified case design and flat sapphire crystal.
