Lot Essay

Hans Coper (1920-1981) met Lucie Rie in 1946 and worked quite literally back-to-back with her with her for ten years in the Albion Mews, London. His desire was to become a sculptor, but instead he became a potter of international repute producing sculptural ceramics.
