Connemara, Galway was the subject matter for numerous landscapes by Craig throughout his career. The self taught artist was later to become an Associate of the Royal Hibernian Academy in 1925 and a member by 1928. He was also to become an Academician of the Royal Ulster Academy. Known for his Impressionist-like style, Craig's work can now be found in collections such as the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, The Armagh County Museum, in the Hugh Lane Municipal Gallery of Modern Art and the National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin.
