Provenance: 2 AUTOGRAPH LETTERS SIGNED BY GOSSE tipped-in at front (one 3 pages, dated Sandhurst, Torquay, July 30th 1878, the other 2-pages, Sandhurst, Torquay, Sept. 16, 1878), in which Gosse thanks a supplier in most effusive terms for an insect cabinet. As a token for his gratitude Gosse asked his publisher to send a copy of Actinologia Britannica to the supplier.
